Custom Publish Dates for Wordpress Widgets

I have two (2) Widgets (1 Column and 2 Column) that display Posts on the homepage of my website by Category. Many of the posts on my blog are future-dated and I would like Posts that are dated Today and then those that dated into the future to display as opposed to how it works currently, by most recent submissions. In addition to changing to displaying Posts that are future-dated, I would like Posts that have been marked as Sticky to have priority over those that don't. For example, if there are Posts that are closer into the future but there are Posts that have been marked Sticky for that Category then it should be given priority over those that are sooner into the future. Priority within Sticky posts should be by the same order rule: Today and then those that dated into the future. Of course, if a Post is Sticky or not, Posts in these Widgets would no longer display once Publish date is Yesterday. I can point you in the direction of the Widget files that would need to be altered.
