Introduction:
In this document we discuss the objectives, scope and topics that will be included in the website.
The main objective behind the website is to make the information and activities of the company available to the general public. The site will be initially in three languages English, Russian and Chinese. Additional languages must be added at any time in the future and must be no limitation in the number.
Functionality:
The site should be graphic, lively and attractive. The use of the latest technologies should be incorporated. It should be easy to navigate through and still maintain the required functionality. Great importance is given in security issues and performance. Included in the offer for web development must be the optimization for the search engines. The navigation menu categories and subcategories should be expandable for further company needs and updates and have a dynamic vertical menu where the pages and subcategories should be displayed. The system must be flexible to handle any kind of information needed to be displayed / printed. The prices & trades tab would have to read from an excel file currently on a server that I will give the locations and use DDE to display it. To access any part of the site you should be a registered member. The download section should have the functionality of saxobank.com. If a user wants to download the SmartTrader platform it should first complete a form with basic fields and after the registration is successful he will get template email with an id that should be auto increment and the password that he type in the download form. After he login with the current account he make the first page that should be displayed is a more detailed form with some other fields that he have to complete and then update his profile. The RSS News Feed would be get from an xml sheet from DowJones news wire (snippets/info to get them will be given by me). Chart and Trader would be also displayed through xml/java (way that I tell how to do it). On the main site their should be also a login link that would open in a blank window an external site so they could login to their trading account. The current member signup/open account section in the site should be only for the current website and that login link is other login. The site should be work dynamically on all resolutions if its possible but 800x600 and 1024x768 for standard and should get the whole page.
Time Scale:
The project must be complete within 4 max 6 weeks from the time we have an agreement.
Warranty:
The application should be warranted to work as described in the project breakdown for at least 6 months after delivery.
Application License:
We need the complete source code, graphics and all information created for our web application without limitations.
