WEB SITE SETTINGS
The site I would like to restyle and re-organize is www.escudama.net.
Various sections should be adjusted on one hand in order to permit a more easy site-surfing, on the other hand to give a more deepened and transparent image of what is behind the ESCUDAMA on-line store (manufacture, made in Italy, a physical “factory” producing bags) and to highlight its quality-certified products. To better fulfill this goal new sections has to be added, too. In addiction to this, I would like to be able to interface (modify , add or delete) the elements in the site such as photos, descriptions, etc.
Sections to be reviewed:
The “Home” section is basically ok. At the bottom of the page I would just substitute the symbols “star” (in the quality certification box) and “life preserver” (in the security certification box).
I would like to put a small piece of photo that better reveals the idea of the real Escudama factory, like for example a woman working on a piece of cloth at the sewing machine. I’ll figure the pictures personally out, I just would like to substitute the 2 abstract symbols (present in the site) with 2 new photos of a concrete “manufacture world”.
In the section named “Shop”, apart from the fact that I want to change its name into “Acquista”, the potential overview of the products is limited. You can watch only 4 products at a time. I would like to make a general, wide overview of ALL the products Escudama by simply moving a scroll bar. I would like to preserve the division into categories, but on a potentially illimited virtual products tray. I would like to divide the products’ overview into the following 3 macro categories (I would like to make it possible that I can autonomously add and delete products and categories):
1) “Donna Escudama”, that is products for mothers and their babies (would incorporate the section “900”, “Culla”, “D?”, “Ecoworking”, “Play”, “Redinelle”, “Soffio”, “Sweetie” "Bon Ton"
2) “Favole in viaggio” (incorporates “Favole in viaggio”)
3) “Cara Cartella, …” (incorporate “Vernice”)
A good example of how i would like to organize the whole “scroll bar system” can be checked at the following address: [url removed, login to view]
(I like very much how they present the bag, with the possibility of zooming; when you select a bag there is also possibility of watching the details of the bag from different point of views)
In general I would like to be able to add pictures in accordance to every product: let's say a maximum of 7 details-photos for every product.
The “Contatti” section’s organization can be left unchanged. The only thing that has to be restyled is the map. First of all the writings on the overview of the map are overlapped and create an inelegant confusion, second point is that the address set on the link that leads to “google maps” is wrong, so the setup should be this address:
[url removed, login to view], km 5.500, 15030, Coniolo (AL), Italy
But maybe it's even better to put the address link in the "La fabbrica Escudama" section, of which I will speak about in the next paragraph.
Sections to be added:
- Section “Rivenditori Escudama” with a space for the address of the shop where Escudama products are selled, google map link in order to check the addresses of the shops.
- Section “La fabbrica Escudama” with a space for text and photos.
- Section “L’artista” with space for text and photos
Details to be reviewed:
“Ecopoppins” section can be deleted.
In the section Shop (will be changed into Acquista), under each photo (product overview) there are colours’ choices of the products, but if you click on the single colour the photo of the product doesn’t change. I would like it to change according to the colour.
The design of the site is ok like this, I would like to keep it as minimal as possible. I would like to be able to upload texts and photos autonomously. I'm available to clear all details. Thanks
