I have a trade script, it runs off just three files, the [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] page.
It basically tracks ins and outs for domains, dividing them into raw and unique, ins and outs, all time and last 24 hours.
Problem is it calculates the totals by adding up info from each user visit, but for my larger sites there are so many entries I can't even access the webmasters page before it times out.
So what I'm thinking is this. I'd like to change way the totals are added.
The daily totals will become what the all-time totals currently are, calculating all the visitor info from the database... but what I'd like to do is create a [url removed, login to view] file that will run every day, it will tally the daily info, and add that info each day to the all-time stats (probably need a new table for that). Then it will empty the entries so that daily stats will be reset to zero. Thus keeping the database managable. I'd also like an html file (or whatever) created each time the [url removed, login to view] file is ran that will show the totals from that day.
Hope that makes sense. Please ask any questions beforehand.
