This represents step one in the development of a new stand alone website intended to support the launch of a new product line this fall.
We require submissions to demonstrate how a simple graphical layout comprising of six adjacent equal sized black rectangular blocks (3*2) appearing in the centre of a screen (across device platforms) can be used imaginatively to navigate all of the other content.
Visitors to the site should access the 6 main sections through the simulated effect of pulling away individual rectangular blocks from the group one at a time. The blocks should return smoothly to their original position when the user navigates to another of the 6 main areas. Overall blocks should feel like they are held to the main group magnetically and therefore result in some initial resistance or need for pulling in their activation as opposed to just being clicked on and falling away.
A clear illustration should be provided showing the various options for displaying actual content in the remaining space surrounding the blocks in each of the six layouts.
The expectation is to see a clever use of both layering and infinite scrolling to create an extremely intuitive layout especially well suited for use on Ipad and other touch screen mobile devices.
