I need to send signed e-mails using S/MIME. Right now, i use the the PHPMailer tool to send E-Mails. I would like to augment PHPMailer to support signing e-mail with S/MIME. S/MIME support can be potentially built into PHPMailer. The openssl module for PHP has the necessary functions for signing. It's just a matter of setting up the relevant MIME headers. The completed solution needs to be able to use S/MIME to sign any e-mail that PHPMailer can generate, including, but not limited to, text and text+attachment.
