I have a FileMaker Pro Advanced [url removed, login to view] application that I have developed for Real Estate Investors. I need someone to integrate the [url removed, login to view] API data into the application. Specifically, the user will enter their zws-id into the Default Settings portion of the application. Upon user entry of subject property, the application will query Zillow for the "zpid". The application will then query Zillow for the subject property details and automatically enter them into the proper fields such as:
•Finished square footage
•Lot size square footage
•Number of floors
•Most recent Property Tax Assessment
•Last Sold Date
•Last Sold Price
Next, the application should query Zillow for Comparable Properties that meet the user specifications that they entered into the Default Settings area of the application. The specifications include:
•Distance from Comp Property to Subject Property in miles
•Bedrooms for Comp Property
•Bathrooms for Comp Property
•Finished square footage for Comp Property
•Lot size square footage for Comp Property
•Year built for Comp Property
•Last Sold Date for Comp Property
•Last Sold Price for Comp Property
The application will automatically input the above data for the 4 properties that are closest to the subject property attributes. The user Default Settings will specify the acceptable threshold for the comp properties such as:
•% difference in square footage between comp and subject property
•Maximum distance in miles between comp and subject property
•Greatest # of months since comp property sold
All of the above data is available through the Zillow API. Therefore, I anticipate that a developer with experience with the Zillow API should be able to integrate this rather easily.
Since this is a commercial end-user application, the end result should be very user-friendly to trap errors and allow for property-level comp specification modifications if there are not at least 4 comp properties that meet the default specifications.
The comp properties entry fields should remain editable to allow for the user to override or delete any unfavorable comps. However, the Zillow query entries should be the default.
The desired end result is that once the user has entered the entire subject property address, the application will query Zillow and automatically enter the subject property attributes as well as the 4 closest comp properties attributes.
Since this is a commercial end-user application, I am also considering taking on an equity partner within the business to share in the profits in exchange for continuous product improvement. Therefore, I would like to find someone who desires a long-term relationship with this software that demonstrates innovative solutions.
