I’d like to develop an application in VB 6 that will perform similar to the application at <[login to view URL]> with the following changes:[login to view URL] application is for personal use, so no graphical card representations are necessary.
[login to view URL] only game needed is Holdem.
3.I don’t need graphical representation of the other players seats. Just a drop down with choices of 2 ??" 10 players. Assume all opponents’ cards are hidden and random. I should be able to change the number of players without losing the preselected board or hole cards.
4. The important features are the ability to choose between simulation (monte carlo) and enumeration (combinatorics). With simulation, there should be the ability to set the number of simulations.
[login to view URL] GUI should end up about 1/3 the size of Poker Calculator.
[login to view URL] to set the pot amount or players bets is not necessary.
[login to view URL] “define range?? feature is not [login to view URL] you can see, the requirements involve very few events and very little in the way of GUI, but heavy in the probability work. Basically you will be making a Holdem Poker calculator that will give the probability of winning based on 2 hole cards and 3- 5 board (common) cards against 1 to 9 other opponents. With the probability being calculated either by running every possible combination, or randomly simulating a large number of [login to view URL] you may be able to obtain some information from the author of the program. The follow is posted on the above website:“Can I see the source? “
“This is not open source, but if you're interested, drop me a line through feedback. Don't forget to give your e-mail address. “
