I am producing a small program for producing pattern simulations for carpet machines. This involves entering some data using grids to represent the various elements of the machine. At them moment the project does what I want it to do (in this early stage) but graphically it is frightfully slow. I am using the LINE method on a picture box to draw the pattern using a nested loop to handle the various elements of the machine. I want it so that when I change one element of the machine the pattern area updates to reflect the change - it currently does this but SLOW even on my P3-600 machine with 128Mb RAM. Any help in speeding this up to make it a little more bearable would be more than appreciated. This project is probably more suited to someone who has worked with high speed 2D graphics (as a guess). The program is written in VB6. I have included an EXE of the project so for so you can get an idea of what I mean (ignore any bugs if you find them!). If anybody requires an explanation of how to use it let me know. Thanks in advance for any advice.
