Create a button which will open a popup in Excel. The popup will ask the user to “Enter a cell” (say “A1”), “Number of simulations” (say 1000) a “Start of histogram” (say 0), “End of histogram” (say 1), “Number of bins” (Say 10) an OK button and a Cancel button.
When the user hits OK, Excel will “hit F9” (using code of course) 1000 times and save the numbers displayed in the given cell (A1) in an array. For example, if cell A1 contains “=RAND()”, it will then save 1000 drawings from U(0,1).
Then, the code should create a new worksheet. In this sheet, display the average and the sample variance of the 1000 numbers, a histogram based on the data entered and a graph of the histogram (which will then show the empirical pdf of U(0,1))
