Bids invited for a data mining and filtering application, preferably written in Delphi 6 but Xcel will also work. Briefly, I need to be able to enter a target url into a form, have the link followed and the data copied for each link returned (i.e. [url removed, login to view], employment agencies, copy each entry into one text file). Then I need the data transposing from being on individual lines into a format suitable for importing into a database (i.e. tab delimited or comma delimited - each contact entry on an individual line) Finally, I need it to apply automatic filters for the data to be sorted into the correct columns (i.e. telephone numbers into the telephone column, towns into the towns column etc), and have the option to remove words or phrases from the column entry (i.e. remove the word telephone: or tel:from the telephone column which contains numbers). I also need it to do the reverse and insert text into columns. Both can be drop down boxes containing the criteria if necessary. Data should be exportable and importable in a variety of formats suitable for use in different database applications (i.e. xcel, access, mysql, oracle, paradox etc). However most accept tab or comma delimited formats I intend to further develop this application to incorporate additional features for building a database management application so this may be an ongoing project. Maybe with some kind of front end search function which allows the user to specify the data type from a number of sources which can be manually entered from a list of urls, then have the app follow the search, grab the data, filter it, transpose it, sort it and export it all at once. This project is just the germ of an idea I have had for some time so there is not a huge budget for it. However, successful Delphi bidders will also get the chance to bid for my other ongoing delphi projects by being invited into the closed bidding each time a project is posted.
