We are looking to work with an expert in Crystal Reports 2008 and Xcelsius 2008. ? We would be particularly interested in anyone with experience of the ? associated SDK.
In the attached file there are two pdf's and an overview document. ? We will also provide the appropriate database to the selected coder.
1) Sample report - basic
2) Sample report - various examples
We currently create these reports through a PERL script on a MySQL database. We are working on creating a more efficient version of the MySQL database to act as a separate report server.
We currently process up to about 1000 reports at a time on a batch process basis. Our aim is to significantly improve the process time and flexibility of our current report engine.
In order to achieve this we want to migrate over to using Crystal Reports, and we want to work with someone who can help us through this process.
We have three priorities for this project;
Priority 1 - ? Timescale complete by end of December 2008
To be able to create the "Sample report - basic" in Crystal Reports 2008 before the end of December. The output will be a pdf version identical (or as close as possible) to the current document. There is no need for this report to be interactive in any way. It is a simple static pdf.
Priority 2 - Timescale complete by ? 2nd week of January 2009
To be able to create reports based on the “Sample report ??" various examples??, again based on a simple static pdf output
**There are some issues within the two reports that an expert Crystal Report coder will identify straight away, and we will be looking for evidence that you have seen these issues and understand how to resolve them**.
(Not part of this project ??" but we will need to be sure that selected coder has the expertise to support us in this area).
Work with us to create the more complex and interactive reports that are available to users by integrating Crystal Reports 2008 and Xclesius 2008 onto the CR server. ? There will be a number of these required over the course of next year

Hi, Thanks for your interest in this project. This is a message to those coders who I have been in communication with. I am on holiday for the next ten days so I may be slow in responding to your communications. May I wish you all a very happy and prosperous New Year in 2009, and a Happy Christmas to those of you for whom it has some meaning. Kind regards Chris
