I have built a WordPress site with an e-commerce plug-in to replace my current web store. I used MAMP to store the site locally while I was building it as it was going to take me a long time to finish (almost 12 months now) and when I went to upload the files to my new host (crazy domains) it did not work. I am still waiting on the domain transfer from tucows so I used the temp url I was given as the address. When I went to load my site through MAMP afterwards it did not work properly. I could not log-in to edit the site and some of the theme settings where askew. I'm certain this is a database issue as I had no idea what a database was and still don't understand what FTP, myPHP or SQL means. All I changed to the file coding was the wp-admin file to redirect from local to host server as instructed, so everything else is as was when the site was working. I would like for this site to replace my old site at homestead while await the domain transfer also. I have all my files from the local server compressed into a zip file ready for you to have a look at but it's too large to attach so I will send it to you via fileshare or something. I will e-mail my host server log in details once I have selected a bid.
Thanks for your help,
