I run a forum based on vBulletin 4 and moved with the website to a new server.
Since then from time to time I keep getting redirection errors on my website:
Firefox is saying:
the requested page redirect the request in a way that it never can be completed
"The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."
in Google Chrome I get the same error but the error message is more detailed:
"Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects"
This error occurs only sometimes but first started after I moved to the new server. When you delete cookies and cache, then it works again for some time, but then it makes problems again, and you need to delete your cookies and cache again.
In addition once in a while when you click on a link it redirects you to a complete different page.
I believe and I was told that the error is caused by a wrong server configuration and is connected to the seo module called vbSEO that I run on the forum (there is no error with the seo module because on the old server it worked, so there is something wrong with the new server, somebody told me that it is a problem of php configuration and that I need to recompile php or I need to use php as apache module instead of cgi or fastcgi, but I am not sure if that will solve the issue)
The server runs with apache, debian squezee, current php and mysql version and for administration panel there is ispcp.
I would need the problem to be solved very fast, so please just bid if you have time for me.
