I have an existing Wordpress-based website, an e-Commerce shopping cart with Gold Cart upgrade, and a single 'Model Page' product page. You can view this existing page at www.BuildingPlansDIRECT.com.
I want to expand this site to include a 'BPD Home Page', and multiple 'Building Type' home pages. The existing 'Model Page' will become a child of one of the 'Building Type' pages. All new pages will have the same theme appearance as the existing 'Model Page.'
See the attached website/marketing schematic for how this all works together.
This project includes adding the following:
1. A 'Building Type' home page.
2. The 'BPD Home Page.'
3. Mail Chimp or other contact manager.
It will be necessary to change the URL of the existing product page to
[url removed, login to view]
The 'Building Type' home page will be [url removed, login to view]
The 'BPD Home Page' will become www.BuildingPlansDIRECT.com.
Future 'Model Pages' will be [url removed, login to view]
It will be necessary to modify the existing 'Model Page' to change its URL, to add links back to its parent 'Building Type' home page, and to its grandparent 'BPD Home Page.'
The 'Building Type' home page and 'Model Pages' will need to be easily duplicated as the website grows and new products are added. I will require instruction in how to duplicate these pages so I can add new pages for building types and models, change the content, and in general, maintain the website by myself. I have not yet examined the eCommerce Bible to see if it includes instructions on how to do this. Is it there?
The 'BPD Home Page' will have a list (grid?) of 'Building Type' names. Clicking on a name (buttion) links to its respective 'Building Type' home page. The 'BPD Home Page' will grow over time, so I will need to know how to add buttons and links to more 'Building Type' pages.
The 'Building Type' home pages will have multiple products (all of the same type or category), arranged in a grid with small images and a text area, each with a link to its corresponding 'Model Page.' There should be an 'Add to Cart' button for each product. The Shopping Cart should continue to appear in the right sidebar.
Contact Manager. When payment is approved, the buyer's information is to be flagged with the purchased product(s), and entered into the Contact Manager (Mail Chimp?) and an auto responder will send a thank you email with a download site for delivery of the PDF product(s).
After reviewing these requirements, I would appreciate your input if you have ideas or suggestions that might be easier to implement, and what (cheap/free) Contact Manager you would recommend.
For each of the 3 items, please give me an estimate of: time to complete, estimated completion date, and cost.
Time (days) Comp Date Cost
1. 'Building Type' home page XX XX/XX/XX $XX
2. 'BPD Home Page'
3. Contact Manager
