PHP Email Header Cleanup help

I have written code that allows me to pipe my emails to my PHP Script, which reads all the information in the incoming email, breaks it in chunks and headers, and saves all the information to a MySQL database.

The script also sends me a copy of the incoming email to my gmail account.

The script is working perfectly as far as the functionality is concerned.

Here are some of the problems I am facing:

1. Attachments are being stored properly, but the entire attachment is showing up as text in the message body. This can be a nightmare if the file is big in size.

2. I am getting unwanted header information, mime, etc specially HTML version of the email in the message, that does not show up correctly on my site.

The classes I am using are:

rfc822_addresses.p;

[url removed, login to view];

The results of a word document as an attachment is attached to this request.

Kindly take a look and suggest a solution.

As you can see on my account, we have a lot of work, and are almost posting a new project every day, so this is a great opportunity for a good PHP programmer to introduce yourself as we'll be outsourcing bigger chunks of our work soon.

As a deliverable, you would take my existing code, optimize it to fix the mime and header issue and return it.

I will only hand out the code after I pick a coder, so if you have any samples to show me that can give me an idea of your understanding of the subject, send it to me, as it can help me pick a coder quickly.

Remember: You don't need to change anything on the database, or have to deal with file saving, etc. All that is done, you just need to clean the script to scrape off all the unwanted stuff from the message.
