Thank you for your interest in this project. I have a game fansite at [url removed, login to view] that is in need of some order and improvements. To do this, you will need to be familiar with...
* creating customised original graphics, icons buttons etc which follows the VMK theme
* the Invision Power Board forum ([url removed, login to view]), understanding how to customise some aspects, and integrate it to work seamlessly with the rest of the site
* MediaWiki ([url removed, login to view]), understand how to customise some aspects, and integrate it to work seamlessly with the rest of the site
* PHP to the extent of creating a couple of small features, and to improve the IPB and MediaWiki to intergrate and work seamlessly with the rest of the site
Firstly, you'll need to install and customise both the IPB and MediaWiki to the latest versions, and arrange for them to work together on issues such as authentication, report logs, warn logs, looks and appearances.
The authentication system on the MediaWiki to be replaced with references to the IPB Authentication, utilising IPB Masks to determine a user's ability to add, redirect, edit pages on the wiki side of things.
Implement a 'Report' feature where any user can report a page on either forum and mediawiki, which will display on the main panel of a moderator/admin rather than sending a PM (default IPB action).
Integrate the warn feature of IPB into the MediaWiki sections, and allow moderators actions to restrict permissions on mediawiki pages, preferably like the warn section on posting/mod preview, where the moderator can time-restrict or indefinately restrict such actions
Implement a new feature, whether by raw PHP or as an IPB pluging, a traders market where users logged in and with selected masks can arrange their wanted and/or offered items to others.
The media wiki is to be intergrated with an upload image mechanism similar to IPB, where they are all kept in one place on a subdomain. This subdomain should only show images on approved websites. This list of websites should be customisable (either as an IPB addin, or simple PHP file).
The media wiki is to have a feature similar to that found on [url removed, login to view] where users can edit a page with co-ordinates to display on the main image.
All of this is to accompany a facelift with a range of images and buttons. This will include a new 'skin' which should be original (and not a modified skin from somebody else). Buttons will include original images representing a range of site and in-game status.
Once complete, the entire site will then become property of VMK Guide. Payment will be in full on completion, which should be as soon as possible, and not later than 30 days after the awarding of the project. Because of past problems of people taking down payments and not delivering, there will be no advances available. We are more than willing to use an escrow - if this is needed, ensure you include these costs in your bid price. No hourly/daily bids will be considered. The price quoted should be the whole price for everything needed. No part-projects will be considered, and no pro-rata payment for incomplete work. Please only bid if you have read this and are fully happy with it. For clarification, the bid is only for the site design and implementation. Hosting and licenses have already been secured elsewhere.
