3D Dental Software for Windows and Mac

I need to rewrite some software for a Orthodontic Lab. They were given this software to hand out to their clients to view 3D model files of their patients teeth, but it's not supported very well. The new viewer will also have some added features and a robust platform that will allow us to improve upon it. I would also like to make it open source, so clean code and easy changes and updates are important. I need this to run the same on both PC and Mac. Possible expansion into Android and iOS is also a need. However, this specific project is for Mac and PC version only! Here is a youtube demo of the existing viewer- [login to view URL] Because this will be running on Office machines the majority of the time, a very light application is needed. It cannot demand to many resources. The files that we create are .3sz files. If you change the extention to .zip, you can view the STL or DCM and XML contents of the files. This program needs to be able to open these .3sz files. So, a copy of the attached program, along with some improvements: 1.) A report feature that produces a pdf report with embeded 3D model- users can turn and interact with the model in the pdf. The exported report takes data from the XML file and displays the patient info along with side views and different angles, as seen here: [login to view URL] 2.) an export jpg feature that just exports that jpg image with patient info ontop. 3.) Articulation of the jaw- this just has the option to open and close the jaw, we need to control the opening and see the jaw opening. here's a youtube video showing the articulation on another companies viewer [login to view URL] -------------------------------------- In addition to that, we would like to include a dropbox type feature that syncs with our servers, so that as we complete their models, the file is automatically synced on their end. All they have to do is enter in the ftp username and pass and turn syncing on, and the files will sync. This is not a one time project. We will be needing on going support. Thanks!
