What: We need "stuff" pulled from a string variable that was put in using switches of the "-x" format. Where "x" could be any letter.
Pretend the file is a text file. But, you only need to worry about the First row in that text file. The text file is row-delimited, but we're already pulling out the Row. We just need you to....Pull out "stuff" from this row because our source has the "stuff" in an old format so we need to parse it....
See the final example below for an actual "example" you can play with...
Dim TheWholeThing as string 'This is that "first row" of the text file. Make it say stuff from below. This is your source to work with
Dim TheStuff as string
Dim S_switch as string
Dim X_switch as string
Dim P_switch as string
Dim Z_switch as string
Instance (Not Case Sensitive...can be Any case, and it should always be one Line read from the text file. You don't have to worry about the text file, just use a fake variable like "Dim TheWholeThing as string" to simulate one row in the text file.):
IF: <stuff> -s <stuff2>
IF: <stuff> -s <stuff2> -p <stuff3>
IF: <stuff> -s <stuff2> -z <stuff3> -x <stuff4>
EXAMPLE: We have three cases of campbells232 -s campbells is the label -z Tuesday is the day -x March of Maine
So the reason I didn't do this myself is...It is VERY important to make sure you can find Any combination of the switches. Meaning, Sometimes None. Sometimes an "s", sometimes an "s and an x", sometimes just an "x", etc.
This must be done in VB.NET
We will pick someone to do this over the next few hours if we get a qualified bidder.
