Shopping cart for customized products

We are looking for someone to add a shopping cart to our website that allows our customers to purchase their customized products as well as stock items. The customized products are designed in an Adobe Flex application but all the attributes are saved in a MySQL database. Each individual customer should be able to login to the shopping cart and order stock items (that all customers can order), as well as their own customized products (that only they can see). We have no preference for the shopping cart software, and hope that you will not have to develop your own. We are using the Quantum Gateway payment processing interface, and would prefer to use one of their APIs that does not require us to handle ANY credit card information (we don't want to deal with PCI compliance).
[url removed, login to view] has the functionality that we want. Customize a shoe or boot (and add to cart), and also add existing products to the cart.
## Deliverables
Basic workflow for a customer:
1) Customer logs in to the site (through the HTML store interface)
2) Customer launches Flex Application to customize the product
3) Customer saves the customized product (which updates the product in Database A)
4) Customer exits the Flex Application
5) Customer's available product listing includes existing store products (stock items, likely in Database B) as well as their own customized products (descriptions and attributes come from Database A). The customized products include a description (text) and a price that can change.
6) Customer adds both customized and stock items to their shopping cart
7) Customer may relaunch Flex Application to "tweak" the customized product
8) The customized product should update in the store and the cart
9) Customer checks out (preferably the final page, where credit card details are input, is hosted by our 3rd party processor, Quantum Gateway)
We would prefer to have a shopping cart that is easy to manage and easy to update stock items.
Aesthetically we do not really have any strict requirements, however simplicity is key. Out of the box OSCommerce style sites are hideous and much too complicated looking for our tastes. The shop at [url removed, login to view] is much more our style. It would also be nice to have a system that is easy to change graphically (to attain the look and feel of our existing site). With that said, we are not requiring the developer to "style" the site though it could be discussed. We would like the developer to keep these things in mind.
