Need Additional Coding for PHP User Registation Page

I created a php registration page in Dreamweaver using Developer's Toolbox registration wizard. Registration form works great, but after registration, I'm tying to immediately send users to inside the restricted site (keep them logged in). As of now, right after registration, it's asking for a username and password (login reqest). I need a way to make the registation form also count as the "first time" login. I'm trying to avoid the user having to login right after registration. I'm not using email activation so this should be possible.

The other issue that I need fixed involves my email list management company. The registation form above obviously gets submitted to a mysql database on my server. I also have a second form that submits info to my email list management company. I need to get the forms integrated using the easiet method so that at submit, the data goes to my database and to my email list company at the same time (all from one form). I don't need the validation script (on the email list form) because the validation is already in the registration form.

After discussing this with a other coders, I discovered this could probably be done by submitting the form to a hidden iframe, using target="name_of_iframe". From what I understand, this would also require the use of javascript, which I want to avoid at all cost. The other option I've seen that may work is to submit the form to my database and have my php submit it again under water thru a socket to the mailinglist. Whatever option is best I am open to (even if it's something not mentioned here).Thank you for reviewing this and I look forward to working with you if you are confident that you can provide the solutions detailed.

## Deliverables

Hello,

I created a php registration page in Dreamweaver using Developer's Toolbox registration wizard. Registration form works great, but after registration, I'm tying to immediately send users to inside the restricted site (keep them logged in). As of now, right after registration, it's asking for a username and password (login reqest). I need a way to make the registation form also count as the "first time" login. I'm trying to avoid the user having to login right after registration. I'm not using email activation so this should be possible.

In the included zip, I have included the registration page ([url removed, login to view]), the page that the registration redirects to ([url removed, login to view]), and the login form ([url removed, login to view], which was also created in Dreamweaver using Developer's Toolbox).

Just wanted to mention that the login form is a bit on the whacky side. In my site, when a visitor registers, I am using only an email and a username at registration (first name too). So at login, the username field is for the email and the password field is for the username. So on the login form, the kt_login_user form field actually checks the e_mail field of the registation table in the database. The kt_login_password form field actually checks the user_name column of the registation table in the database. It's a bit backwards, but registration and login worked great (except for the issue of having to login immediately after registration).

For example:

< ?php

$url = "<[url removed, login to view]>";

$ch = curl_init();

// set the target url

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL,$url);

// howmany parameter to post

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1);

// the parameter 'username' with its value 'johndoe'

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS,"username=johndoe");

$result= curl_exec ($ch);

curl_close ($ch);

print $result;

?>

The example came from here: <[url removed, login to view]> look there for more information.

Whatever option is best I am open to (even if it's something not mentioned here). For reference, I have also included the form that submits to the email list management company ([url removed, login to view]).

If needed, the form field ids and names may need to be changed on the registration form, and I am ok with this as long as everything still works. Also, I can quickly provide any other files or documention that is needed.

Thank you for reviewing this and I look forward to working with you if you are confident that you can provide the solutions detailed.
