We would like to have an add-on written to track labor hours and machine time to do job-costing reports in our company. We would prefer to run this in PHP on MySQL, and use it in conjunction with an existing PHP accounting platform, such as NOLA, SQL-Ledger, GNU-Ledger, etc.
An interface would be something where the employee would walk up to a machine, select their name to 'punch in', and then select a 'job' that they are working on. Jobs consist of a list of all open/pending sales orders (from the accounting database), or various defined internal tasks. (book keeping, payroll, cleaning, etc.) When the employee is finished with that task, they would be able to walk up and complete it / close out to begin a new one.
Two important quirks are that some employees work on multiple jobs simultaneously, while some jobs require machines or other non-human resources. We would like to track seperately the total length of time a job would take when we have nothing else to do, as well as the actual labor dollars spent. For example, if one employee is running two jobs on two machines, then we are saving half of the labor costs per job, but if the customer orders one job again and the employee has nothing else tow ork on, then it would cost more in labor per job but still take just as long.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
We are currently running PHP, Apache, and MySQL on Windows NT4, but would be willing to move to Linux or another OS per coder recommendations.
