I have a DOS-Based program that l and would like converted into a windows-based program. The program is simple and it tracks Daily Maintenance Activities of my transmitters. At present users enter in times, dates, and maintenance performed on a daily basis. The current DOS-Based program creates a text-based record of activities each day and stores them in a text-based file. One months worth of activity is stored before a new month is opened. I can print out each days activity if I need to or go back to any previous month or day and look at what occurred on that day. I need a program that works similarly like the DOS-based program but in a Windows Format. The person selected to perform the work will be provided with the DOS-Based program and the records it generates so they can see what I am trying to accomplish. (The program is very small and can be downloaded from my web site). I would like this done in Visual Basic, C++, etc and would like to use Microsoft Access as the database (or whatever the programmer recommends). The DOS-Based program can be downloaded from [url removed, login to view] The executables are [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] Let me know if you can work with this.
For you requirements I will code the program in VB using an Access DB. Will also include an import module for old data. Let me know when to start. -Mario
