Right now I currently have a members system and each member has points. Its a type of fake online currency, it is their "balance" -- What we need done is pretty simple. We are going to give you an example then go into more detail.
Basically we need a "create points certificate" function on the members account panel. Lets say I have 50 points balance and I want to pay you for this coding work. You charge 20 points. So I would go to this new function, which has 2 text boxes. 1) points and 2) password. I would enter "20" under the points data box because that is how much you charge. Then I would choose a 4 digit numeric password (for security purposes) lets say "1234" -- I would then click a submit button "create" and it would generate a random 34 character string with a value of "20" and the pass "1234" Lastly, it would deduct 20 points from my account.
You, the seller, would go to the "claim certificate" function on your account panel. This function is even more simple. All you do is enter the 34 randomized string and the 4 digit password and click the submit button "claim" -- Then it would add the value (20) to your account.
To break it down into POSSIBLE coding lingo...
We would have 2 MySQL Tables. 1) Account and 2) Certificates
Okay so first we need to create the certificate. We would generate the random 34 character string with a value of ($variable) points. We would then use MySQL and insert a new line into the table "Certificates" -- There will be 3 fields: 1) Certificate String and 2) Password and 3) Value -- We will insert the 3 variables. For example [CCLN2NS8LuRKeTo8YmQaxBtmtenGnDgNLr, 1234, 20]
Then, the person accepting the payment. We will use the "Accounts" table and the "Certificates" table for a simple search. We want to search the "Certificates" database for the matching 2 variables [CCLN2NS8LuRKeTo8YmQaxBtmtenGnDgNLr, 1234] -- If not found, display the msg "Cannot find certificate!" if it IS found, then add the third fields variable, which is "Value" or "20" in our example -- This will always be a numeric number. Lastly we add that variable (20) to the persons "Balance" which is in the "Accounts" Table. Then we delete it so it can't be used again.
Thats it! I know its a lengthy explanation but to someone who is even just somewhat skilled at php/mysql it shouldn't take more than 1 hour. Its a long explanation because I wanted to give you the most detailed description possible.
