We are looking for a professional / company with experience in GPS to create cab dispatch software.
The customers will booking a cab through web by telephone or by sms, the system will dispatch the best suitable car based on the location using the min. distance calculated through maps. There will be screens for supervisor for undispatched jobs.
User places order or cab office will pickup order by phone and enter into online system. If called by telephone, the system will bring all customer data (previous pick up addresses) with CLI. cab cars are equipped with PDA or navigation devices and have a real time updated online interface to see all new orders.
Every driver must have his own username & Password so that cab Office can see who is currently serving the order.
Also cars are equipped with GPS and system must Record & show driver's real time Location (coordinates) on the map.
Programming language no preferences (ex: PHP, database MYSQL.)
The software will be more or less similar to Auriga cab System [url removed, login to view] or [url removed, login to view]
There will be car groups so that the customer will demand a 7 seater car for example, the dispatch will be among 7-seater cars available.
The fair system will be flexible on three methods (mileage, zone or postcode matrix, time) Account customers will be able to choose which fair method to use and they will have fixed aggreed fares on zones or mileage.
The system will allow repeat bookings (every Thursday [url removed, login to view] pickup from a desired address etc.)
There will be payment gateway in the car.
The system will allow to handle multiple pickups and multiple drop offs for the same job say for a school run.
DETAILED PROJECT DESCRIPTION.
cab DRIVER INTERFACE
1. when a new job is dispatched to the driver it should immediately appear on the driver's screen ,basically driver should see customer name, address and phone number and also must have buttons "accept" or "decline". If he pushes accept button the software should send data the server and update dispatch center screen where the order already accepted, on the dispatch screen server it should show the cab cab user ID near the order who has accepted.
2. Drivers will be using Windows Mobile Base PDA / win ce navigation device with gsm capability. The software receive data from gps receiver and send coordinated to the server in customizable by user time interval(for example every 10Sec) and save coordinated on server's database.
3. PDA's connected to the Internet via GPRS or 3G. In case GPRS connection is lost, GPS coordinates should be stored locally on the pda and then synced with Database server at reconnection.
DISPATCH CENTER INTERFACE
Dispatch centre interface should be a web based application with login and
Password with 3 level users (operator, supervisor, admin) with different authorizations.
Should have input fields to post an order, (name, address, phone
Number. Calculate Mileage based on pick up & drop off points & work our real time mileage & cost). Routing to display on the screen as well.
Should be able to popup caller history from past orders ( Read incoming caller data from our PBX) & pop up a order history form on Booking Agent's Screen. as well should have a map of the city and on the map should show location of the cabs.
The system will send the customers mobile an sms, after dispatching, the plate no of the car and saying it’s on the way. When arrived, the cab driver will push a buton that he arrived at the customer and the system will send an sms to the customer that the car arrived.
The backoffice will have reporting capabilities for drivers, jobs, account customers etc.
