Due to the limitations of some web hosts, you cannot utilize fsockopen() to access certain ports
Process:
User enters search criteria
User hits search.
Programmer must provide code to:
- accept passed argument ([login to view URL])
- spawn new window and display search results (user pulls data from search engine avoiding firewall)
- pass back the contents of the search result without any processing to another page as form data
(automatically post data to existing form that will process the results)
- close the window (automatically)
The user should click search, a window will popup, show the results, pass the contents of that page back to my site and then see the window close.
The only code needed is to open the window, pass the results back and close the window.
This is for a library application to search the library of congress on port 7090.
It's accessible by web, but not using fsockopen() on my host
