We have had much work done for the user image galleries in our phpFox installation, and users can now create folders and subfolders to add images to. We recently had a programmer design the interface to accomodate these new features. However, after finishing the image viewing interface the programmer has sadly vanished without a trace before finishing the new upload page/interface.
Currently, the upload image page is full of information and input boxes, and is very confusing to the majority of people. What we require is a new upload image page, with only necessary content visible to the user at each step. So instead of having all the information and input boxes for all of adding to an existing folder, creating a new top level folder, or creating a new subfolder on the page at once like it is currently, we would like a simple option at first giving the user the choice of which task they would like to do. The rest of the content should be hidden at this stage. When they make their task selection the relevant hidden information should then be shown for that task, and only the information for that task. They should also have the option of going back to the start to select a different task at any point.
You can decide the best way to succeed in these requirements, whether through javscript, ajax, or something else entirely.
note: We actually had to remove the subfolder section of the page for now as it is a live site and he left the subfolder creation section somewhat broken. We currently only have the ability to add top level folders and to add to an existing folder on the page. It is only the upload page that is causing subfolders to be broken though, the underlying functionality is working fine and thus it won't be difficult to fix. This fix is required as part of this project.
note: We also require you to be able to either work offline, so downloading the whole website to your own local server, or, be able to guarantee to be able to finish this within a 5 hour slot between 3am and 8am GMT on a day of your choosing. This is becuase it is a live site with over 1200 members, and we cannot afford to have the gallery not working for any period of time. *
Please message me if you need any more information, or require a link to the site. Happy bidding!
