We currently use an old very basic version of osCommerce recover carts.
We are needing to revamp this to allow for up to date use and scripting.
Currently, recovercarts displays a page of all customers with abandon carts. The user can then select each or all of these customers and send an email (with or without a ps message) to the customer. If a customer has already been contacted, they will be marked as such.
We want to change this. I will send jpgs for the email design for each of these contacts
The new system will:
1- Send out an automatic email 4 hours after a cart is abandoned displaying the products(s) they have in their shopping cart AND 3 other items. These items will be pulled from the
a. The crosssell module query associated with the initial products_id (if none exist go to b)
b. The also_purchase_products module query associated with the initial products_id (if none exist go to c)
c. The best selling products for that week (previous 7 days)
2- If the customer has not converted (the item(s) are still in their shopping cart) after 24 hours they will receive a second email. This email will be one of two emails sent based on the following criteria.
a. If the customer HAS purchased with us in the past (has an order_id assigned to their customer_id), the email will display the item in their cart and a banner reminding the customer that we offer free shipping over $150, again with a random selection of products based on the info above
b. If the customer HAS NOT purchased before (does not have an order_id assigned to their customer_id), the email will display the item in their cart and a 10% off coupon code specific for that customer (automatically created and inserted into the coupon table) valid for the next 48 hours and will again include the additional random products.
3- Very clean, graph heavy report on the number of first time emails sent, the number of second time emails sent, the conversion percentage and numbers, order total values, order total values vs. items emailed in recover carts emails, purchases of upsell items in the emails (also purchased products, best sellers, cross sell items), coupons created, coupons redeemed etc on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, month to date, basis. This report will be visible in osC admin and will be auto emailed in pdf version every week to two separate email addresses.
4- Each email will have a "sign up for our newsletter" link and a facebook, twitter, pinterest, google+, etc link that will allow them to post the items displayed to social networks.
Please bid realistically in time, once the project has been assigned.
Payment and deployment:
I will create initial 50% milestone and provide all screenshots and access to a testing site if desired. Once the emails are programmed and scripting is done I will release that milestone and create a second for the reporting and full deployment of system. You will be required to document all changes and upload instructions (I am technically minded so you do not have to dumb them down) so that I can deploy it on live server. You will not have access to the live server, only the testing beta site. Once deployed on live server I will release final milestone. You will be expected to help troubleshoot any issues that arise from the project for a period of not more than 30 days (though I do not think this will be necessary) from the day all files and instructions are sent. If additional support is required after the 30 day window, we expect that you will be available but will be compensated for that support.
