[Io][1] is an incomplete community-oriented website that follows the popular weblog/journal archetype (e.g. [[login to view URL]][2], [[login to view URL]][3], etc.), also incorporating photo sharing/storage capabilities (e.g. [[login to view URL]][4], [[login to view URL]][5], etc.).
The major underlying work for the site's front-end has been done by me, and the codework is being completed by the site's co-creator. Experience with PHP/PostgreSQL, our server-side language of choice, will probably ease the process, but is not necessary.
We need somebody competent in front-end design to complete and continue work on the site's graphical interface. Technical knowledge necessary includes XML/XHTML, CSS, and PHP/PostgreSQL would help [as noted above]. Also mention a strong base in Adobe Photoshop, as that would be highly attractive.
Satisfactory completion will lead to further proposals for other skins/themes for the site based on the same structure followed for the skin made for this project.
Those without examples of their work will not be considered for this project. If you claim competence in ANY of the above prerequisites, you must show examples of your work in each (i.e. if you say you're good at PHP/PostgreSQL, XML/XHTML, CSS, and Photoshop, you must show original work exemplifying each and every claim).
## Deliverables
Three completed interfaces; two which conform to the [usually] controlled structure of the main website interface, and one which conforms to the variable structure of the individual user's website interface. By controlled and variable, I am implying the amount of user-side modification that will take place on your user interface, which means how flexible your front-end will have to be to outside modification.
The major concept-work has been completed on all three front-ends, but all must be overhauled to allow for better modification, and completed to allow for the implementation of features added since their creation. Some creativity will be allowed on that which has not already been developed, but final say lies in the co-creator/site programmer.
The three interfaces will not be considered complete and "ready-to-run" until they are on the site server in fully working condition as judged by the co-creator/site programmer. Payment will commence immediately after this has happened.
## Platform
The site interfaces must work properly (i.e. without any remarkable differences between each browser) in the following browsers:
**Safari 1.2.3
Netscape 7.2/Mozilla 1.7.2/FireFox 0.9.3
Internet Explorer 6.0
Opera 9.0**
Do not worry about not having a certain browser (such as a PC user not having access to an Apple computer or a Windows user not having access to a Linux browser). The co-creator/site programmer has access to each browser and will notify you if anything looks distorted enough that it requires fixing, and will work with you through the issue.
