I need the open source software phpgedview, an online graphical gedcom viewer, ported into a Postnuke .726 module. There was a module created before but it is not 100% compliant with the new PN. The idea behind creating this mod is that is will fall under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE. If you don't like that idea, then don't bid.
The buyer assumes that the coder will have a thorough knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and Postnuke.
1) Complete and 100% pnAPI compliant, fully-functional working Module as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Follow coding compliancy as discussed in documents located here: [url removed, login to view]
3) Buyer maintains exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Ensure the phpgedview code is as changed as little as possible while documenting any and all changes that are required to make the mod work. The hope is to be able to upgrade the module as future upgrades to phpgedview come out.
Documentation in the code is very important. I want to be able to read the comments in the code and be able to follow along through the process in case problems arise and I need to hire someone else to come along and fix them.
Need to follow PN user groups concept and needs to be configurable. Usually would be like this: "Anonymous" or "not logged in" can view but cannot make any changes to data, "Users" are allowed to make changes to data. "Admins" have complete access to any and all data and configuration options.
Need also a custom block(s) that would have the following *configurable* features:
-Center or side block creations
-Upcoming (with option to include/exclude) birthdays, deaths, weddings, etc.
**Need search function integrated into main site search module.
