Noble Technology is in need of a simple html based part tracking system. The system needs to be in php/mysql. Please take a look at the attached file as this will make it easier on you. Here are the details: Page one: Displays the inventory and the current status of the inventory. Has link to page to which edit's the inventory status. Page two: Allows a user to update location, status, comment field (right side). These entries will overwrite previous entries. However, if only one entry is updated the rest of the cells stay the same they do not get overwritten with blank cells. (I don't know how this can be done with php or if a speacial edit page is required that when you press to edit a certain table entry it takes you into a page that allows you to do this. Open to ideas). Page three: Allows admin to edit model, description and serial number (left side). This is not linked from the main two pages rather this will be a hidden page that just updates the Demo Inventory on the left of the pages. I can protect this with apache's .htaccess but would be open to the idea of having it protected via coding. Attached is a word doc which graphicly outlines the product.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
4) I will need this app approved by a fourth party customer so it may take a little longer to approve. Two - three days.
If needed I can provided a Red Hat 8.0 test environment on the web. I would like this program to be tested on Windows 2000 (server if possible) as well as Linux. I don't believe php/mysql differ much on these platforms however. I'll have more details on this later. I may be able to do this testing myself so don't sweat it.
