We have an Access database which we would like to export to MySQL. We have used some proprietary software to create a sql dump file of the Access data - and that works fine.
Our challenge is how to use this dump file to append the Access data to our existing MySQL data whilst accurately preserving the relationships between records.
I attach a screenshot of the Access relationships.
I also attach a SQL file of our MySQL database schema (to which the access data will be appended).
Hopefully, you can match the Access tables to their intended MySQL tables (we simply prepended "CVM_" to the table names). If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
I would like to emphasise that we're particularly concerned about accurately preserving the relationships between respective records when appending the Access data to the existing MySQL database.
