I am in need of a PC hardware technician with experience in RAM/CPU/mainboard speed ratios to help select the best performing components for a server.
You must be up to date with the current products and components on the market. I need to choose the most appropriate makes/models of CPU, RAM, mainboard, and hard drives based on budget and performance concerns.
This will be a dual CPU (either AMD or Intel) with 4GB of *very* fast RAM. The speed of the RAM, CPU and mainboard, and the ratio at which they run is extremely critical.
1. I will need help selecting the appropriate components. 2. I will have various design questions while putting this together. I have experience building PCs, but not to the extent of performance that I am needing now.
This PC will be used as an analysis server for a business, running floating point calculations and using up to >3GB of RAM at all times. The processors will be nearly maxed out much of the time.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
