An old accounting package written in foxpro for ms-dos is being ported to windows using Delphi 5. We have still to finish the porting of some reports that deal with VAT (this is for your information only: you don't need to be a accountant). The task consists in a. preview/print report A (purchases) and computes purchases VAT totals b. preview/print report B (sales) c. preview/print report C (takings) d. preview/print report D (journal) The reports share 90% of the code. An example of reports a., b. and d. is enclosed (report c. is very like report a. and b.) A skilled programmer will take 2-3 days to accomplish the task. We will provide the database, clear and detailed instructions, the foxpro code and a special component that prints with minimal changes in code from Foxpro (please see the enclosed sample code). FAQ: QUESTION: Could you provide more details regarding what exactly you require ANSWER: you build a component that does the printing of -say- purchase VAT btw 2 dates. The component I provide gives you the ability to output the destination to screen/printer or file using the same code. Other than the print, you return lists with: 1. the VAT subtotals 2. the IDs of the records used in the report
