I am looking for someone who knows Linux Embedded Appliance Firewall (LEAF) or Linux Router Project well so s/he can customize the development for me. I particular like to customize the BERING dist of LEAF. You can find the user and developer guide for BERING in leaf.sourceforge.net. 'bering' dist not only does it provide the distribution, it also offers the development environment. It has to because this is how other people can make their own packages using its development environment or compile the new kernel. What I like you to do is this: 1. Be familar with bering's development environment so you can make samba, nfs, php, mysql, openssl, ssh, ftp , firewall, ipsec, apache, my applications, and other packages using bering's development environment. Provide document to show how do I extend a package myself. 2. Be familar with bering's development environment so you can compile the latest [login to view URL] kernel with other new device drivers or kernel modules using bering's development environment. Provide document to show how do I compile the kernel myself. 3. Make a bering dist so it can be booted from an IDE FlashRAM drive (32 or 64Mbytes Flash drive). The dist contains the kernel and packages we make in 1. and 2. Document the process how to make a ready-to-use distribution with selected packages. 4. After the linux kernel is booted, the FlashRAM drive and other IDE drives should be accessable to user's space application. For example, the application can store its configuration information into the FlashRAM drive. Basically I like to create a Linux file/printer server with firewall and VPN, using 2.4 kernel, on a 32/64Mbytes IDE flash drive. After the linux is booted, I use my browser to configure and manage it. This project is only for making LEAF distribution on the IDE flash drive. No web based configuration/management is invloved, that will be another project.
