Chemical model PDB file conversion tool

The project involves integrating a couple of different applications that already exist and have either C or C++ source code.

One of the applications converts PDB file format (a well know format that holds molecular structure information) to VRML a well know 3D modelling file format.

The second application takes a home brew molecular structure format (not PDB) and generates a full blown "figure" for the Poser 6 application. Poser 6 is best know for its ability to model humans and "pose" them, but it can also handle almost any kind of 3D model as well. This second app could have just produced a static 3D model for Poser, but instead produces a figure that can be manipulated in Poser easily using special dials and controls unique to the Poser environment. I would like to preserve this functionality and not do the obvious static 3D object conversion.

I have tested the Poser application, and the VRML application seperately and have them compiling with the Borland C++ compiler that is freely available online. I need someone with some background in PDB and molecular modeling who could get up to speed on Poser as well and glue these two apps together so that I can ingest PDB and produce Poser figures.

The source code that I have for the two existing apps is only a few pages long in each case, but may take some time to understand fully. I have included this and will provide my exsiting build scripts to the developer.

If the developer wants to convert to another programming language, it is fine to switch to something more modern like Java, or C#. I would personally prefer C#, but don't care.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) A set of test cases that cover the normal use cases as well as edge condition cases including input data that is flawed.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
