Static to dynamic website conversion

This project is to covert a static website into one that is built from a database. It is required to use a Visual Basic program which can be viewed here: <[url removed, login to view]>. I have made a start with some of the products but only done around 300 out of 1000 products. I have only added the item names, SKU’s, and prices to those 300. Other information such as description, URL, image names, cross sell items need to be added for all 1000 products.

Once all of the data is in place the site will be built using templates to my design specification. I will provide my static templates and it will be up to you adapt the templates using the ECA code tags to bring out make the desired effects. I am very bothered about how my pages appear so they must look exactly how I design.

ECA is built in Visual Basic for applications and you may need to make minor changes in its code in order to make it work the way we need. An example of this change would be to add extra data fields.

One of the features needed is a site search feature as well as a site catalogue in a directory style (to enable drilling through categories). A wish list, mailing list etc is also required. Maybe even a multi currency feature? ASP or ASP.net could be used for some of those features so a good knowledge of that may also be useful.

We have a group of 5 similar websites that require all the same work. We would like to work on a site by site basis. However if a good job is done with the first site then it would hold in strong favour for future jobs. ## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

The program is already in existence and runs on windows.

This project requires someone with a good knowledge of Visual Basic for applications. But it also requires a small team of people that can enter data into a database in order to save time. The speed of the job is very important to us and data entry can be very time consuming for one person alone. We feel a developer with the help of one or two others for data entry should be quick enough for us.
