We are developing a real estate rental site. All that is need is the core functionality. The core that we need should be similar to that of [login to view URL] . The major difference is we will start our search from the county and the user not property owner will be charged. features: user- registration page, standard registration (name address etc.) must accept credit cards and connect to [login to view URL] The user will select the cities where they are looking for property. Then they will be taken to a second page where they will select type of property and features [login to view URL] much like this. The next page/s will display the results. The results need to be able to be sorted by price low to high or high to low, city, date posted, or if photo available. The user will be able to click a add and see details. The user will also have a clip board where they can add the ad to to view later. We are looking into having a mapquest map to property available as well. One other user feature we want is the user can create up to 4 types of searches and get notified by email if a new listing matching the searches is added. property owners- The property owners can add properties through a admin form that will allow them to best describe the property. up to 6 photos will be allows, the photos will need to be able to upon upload be resized and a thumb created. The property owners can also create a account and add multiple properies. with an account the owners will be able track views of their properties. Select how long to run ad, be notified before ad expires and allowed to extend ad time. admin: The admin of the site needs to be able to view, edit and delete all user and properties. If no account is created the property will be sent to admin for approval. The admin will control membership packages. package will consist of length and cost. The credit processing will be done through [login to view URL] api and no credit card numbers are to be stored on the server. Email notification will be sent with password upon credit card approval. user will be able to edit their accounts. To prevent user form sharing their accounts the system needs to track users loged in. If multiple logins occur a new password should be issued and email to user to let them know their account has been used multiple times. This can possible be a postnuke module or stand alone. Code needs to be clean and commented. It should have a header and footer file for design and use css classes the we will provide. We are working on a better design document for this, but we needed to get it out there to see the costs and time of development.
