Hello! I'm looking to make a set of playong/tarot cards to serve as an aid (or Easter egg) feature in roleplaying games I run inspired by the D&D Deck of Many Things.
To this end, I would like an image for the back of the deck and 54 pictures to match a list of card titles that I've started (but probably not quite finished writing). It will likely entale stereotypical (even cliche) subjects such as "Warrior", "Comet", "Death" and "Starlight" etc.
A name band (perhaps in a scroll-like banner) in a consistent place on all cards would be nice but if you'd prefer I can add those myself.
Thank you for any offers of assistance! When I come to printing the cards, I'll happily order a set for you too if you'd like!
This project is a bit of fun and I look forward to getting it together.
First draft list of cards:
(Animals)Horse; Hound; Cat; Tortoise; Snake; Lion;
(Buildings) Castle; Ruin; Church; University; Stable; House;
(People) Knight; Rogue; Wizard; Diplomat; Jester; Fool;
(Celestial Bodies) Star; Comet;Crescent Moon; Full Moon; New Moon; Eclipse;
(Weather) Lightning Bolt; Sun Rays; Heavy Rain; Blizzard; Hail; Fog;
(Artefacts) Ancile; Shiva’s Three Arrows; Feather of Maat; Seal of Solomon; Naglfar;
(Objects) Pen; Candle; Spoon; Gem; Skull; Key;
(Mythical Creatures) Manticore; Unicorn; Dragon; Ghost; Donjon; Siren;
(Strands of Fate) The Void; The Fates; The Ending; The Beginning: The Fulfilment; The Balance.
- The only guidance I can give at this point is that I would like the style to be traditional- think Middle Earth; Game of Thrones; The Witcher; Warhammer Fantasy or Dungeons & Dragons. Hopefully this will aid you in terms of time period and fantasy content!
Please also note that depending on the final budget I would appreciate it if we can leave a week between now and commencing the project (it's nearly pay day!) just to keep my wallet happy! (I'm into D&D, X-Wing, Warhammer and Comics so hopefully you will understand!) Thank you! :D
Finally, any sample(s) would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to choose any of the cards from the list as the subject! Please note that samples aren't mandatory but are helpful!
Thank you for your interest and I look forward to working with one of you!
