I'm looking for a basic perl script that I can run on the command line that will take two file names as parameters and compare them.
The perl script will need to do a line by line comparison of the two files. Each line in file 1 will need to be compared to every line in File 2. If there is an exact match OR no match, it should write the line match to the screen.
Each file has close to 100,000 lines. So instead of doing 100,000 * 100,000 line comparisons, it will have to be optimized and from what I've been told use hashes and hash lookups. Supposedly this will get the comparisons down to the number of lines in file 2...
$20 is the most I want to spend. Otherwise, I'll work on it myself...
