I am in need of an experienced PCB designer to create a highly durable printed circuit board that incorporates a TI INA229 current and voltage sensing IC, along with a PCB mounted shunt resistor capable of handling up to 50 amps. The board should be designed to withstand industrial use. Key Requirements: - Incorporating TI INA229 current and voltage sensing IC - Capable of handling up to 50 amps, 85V DC. - High durability for industrial use - All external connections to be via screw terminals (e.g. phoenix) and support the required current. - calculation of required parameters for INA229 register settings. - Size is flexible - Would be ideal if there was onboard 5V regulator for VIN of INA229, but open to this being external supply. Ideal Skills: - Strong background in PCB design - Experience with current and voltage sensing ICs - Knowledge of shunt resistor design and implementation - Understanding of industrial-grade PCB requirements If you are confident in your ability to deliver a high-quality, durable PCB design that meets these specifications, I would love to hear from you.

I think it would be better to use an onboard 8 bit MCU to transfer the data via RS485 from long distance without any problems. If size is not constrain, then onboard regulator could be used. In either case analog part has to be isolated from digital section in order to maintain the CMRR. Adequate solder filling will be needed in order to carry the current without over heating. Hi! Let me explain or describe some design specifications about the board you'd like to develop. 1) Capable of handling 85V for INA229 is not a good option for industrial grade device because 85V is the absolute maximum voltage rating for INA229. A good option would be 55 V as maximum input voltage or possibly 60V but not really more for working conditions. 2) For industrial use I can make the PCB to comply with IPC-2221 Standard, which would increase the board size and manufacturing cost. 3) I think the best and may be the only good option for current ratings of 50A is the screw terminal,I can choose a suitable one. 4) The shunt resistor for 50 A would be something like 3mOhm and >10W according to INA229 calculations. Checking the DigiKey there are not that much resistors with given parameters, and a set of resistors to make the shunt may cost up to $40. But may be there are cheaper. This is just for reference. 6) I can make an onboard regulator for 5V board supply, this is not a problem. 7) I can provide all calculations and register settings of INA229 for given device. As result I'll provide the design files, drawings and PCB manufacturing files for you. I have all the skills you've listed in your project description. I'm ready to help you! Best Regards, Andriy
