I need a compact Bluetooth mouse engineered from the ground up with four physical buttons, a smooth scroll wheel, and a USB-C port for both charging and optional wired use. Beyond the standard right- and left-click, the two extra buttons have to ship pre-mapped to volume control (up / down or mute / un-mute) yet remain fully re-programmable through companion software or firmware so users can assign any shortcut they like later on. The build should feel as solid as today’s premium portable mice, keep latency low, and work cross-platform without separate drivers. I’m open to Nordic, Cypress, or similar Bluetooth LE chipsets as long as you hit excellent battery life and achieve seamless reconnection after wake-up. USB-C power management and over-the-air firmware update capability are highly desirable.
