I want to bring to life a pair of stand-alone smart glasses that look and feel like everyday spectacles yet can read a printed page and instantly return the answer in Hindi—no phone, tethering, or external processor required. The primary scenario is study support, so the device must be optimised for continuous classroom or library use. Core expectations • Form factor: lightweight frame that passes for regular eyewear, housing all electronics unobtrusively. • On-board processing: camera, OCR and NLP running locally; after scanning a question on paper the system should interpret it and speak or discreetly display the answer in Hindi. • Content handling: books, handwritten or printed notes, printouts and any typical study material. Even isolated questions should be recognised cleanly. • User interaction: minimal—ideally a single touch zone or voice cue to trigger scanning, Hindi voice output through bone-conduction or a tiny speaker, plus an optional subtle visual overlay. • Battery: at least one full study day of mixed scanning and idle time. • Connectivity: Wi-Fi/BLE only for the occasional firmware update—normal operation must stay completely offline. Deliverables 1. Industrial design files and 3-D model of the spectacle frame with component placement. 2. Complete hardware schematic, component list and PCB layout ready for fabrication. 3. Embedded software (camera driver, OCR, NLP pipeline, Hindi TTS) with build instructions. 4. A working prototype assembled and demonstrated on video answering Hindi questions from live page scans. 5. Documentation covering assembly, flashing, and future scalability. Acceptance criteria • Page-to-answer latency ≤ 5 s under indoor lighting. • Hindi answer accuracy ≥ 90 % on 50 mixed study questions. • Total weight ≤ 45 g including battery. If you have prior experience with compact ARM boards, OCR libraries (Tesseract or comparable), and low-power display or audio modules, your insight will be invaluable.
