Aroma sounds like it's at the stage where the storefront looks right but the commerce spine underneath is still demo-grade — JSON storage and a session cart won't survive real orders, so my first pass would be an audit rather than code. I'd walk the full journey (landing, catalog, filters, PDP, bag, register/login), note what's already strong enough to keep, and hand you a prioritized list separating UX polish from things that genuinely block going live. After that I'd migrate the JSON demo data to Postgres with a clean schema for products, variants, users, carts and orders, keep the Express REST API but add JWT/httpOnly-cookie auth, password reset and proper validation, and move the cart from session to a persisted cart that survives login. Checkout would go through Stripe with webhooks driving order state, plus an admin view for order management. Then Lighthouse/image and query optimisation, rate limiting, and tests on the payment and auth paths.
