Please read over the spec carefully prior to bidding. This is a large complex project - any bidder changing his price after posting due to not understanding the spec will be removed from consideration. This project needs to be completed in 1 month - if you cannot finsh it in this time frame please indicate delivery time in your bid. We are looking for one company to design and implant the web sites in the attached files. The sites will require extensive design ideas on the part of the bidder. We will rely heavily on their expertise to make the sites functional, easy to use and attractive without bogging down users load times and search times. Bidders must be able to provide specific site they have developed that relate to the functionality of the sites we are developing. There are around 40 domain names that are going to be used in this project. They are listed with each web site along with a description of our idea of how to use them – we will expect bidders to make suggestion regarding their use to maximize search engine placement. Key to awarding this project will be the bidders experience with web site optimization. If you do not have a record of successfully optimized sites (they are ranked well by google) then please do not bid. Please read all documents carefully and submit a proposal based on the complete package – we want to link all 40 sites to each other to improve rankings. We know this must be done in a certain way for spiders to see but not catch onto that it is a web-ring so programmer will have to be able to implement this accordingly. Finally – a local outside consultant is being hired to review all designs for search engine compatibility and will be a determining factor for releasing final payment. This project is on a critical time frame – due to upcoming sales events the project would require completion in about 1 month from bidder accepting job. Do not bid if you cannot finish in that time frame. Below are the individual sites we are seeking: First Site: Domain Name List and site overview: [login to view URL] concept: For general concept see [login to view URL] This is an e-commerce driven website with fully functional shopping cart and searchable items database required. Additional features will include customer registration and recognition of returning customers. Collection of purchase history of customer so they can review past purchases, as well as integrate purchase patterns of other customers into item search results (i.e. other people who purchased also purchased the following…). Trending for items searched for most and displayed by month of purchase. The goal of the site is to list multiple retailers inventory under a common domain name. Retailers will submit their inventory and it will be listed under the state where the retailer is located. Only one retailer per state will be allowed. Orders will be processed thru the site with the customer not knowing the name of the retailer. The order will be forwarded to the retailer who will fill the order and ship the product. For this the site will receive a commission on the sale. Following are details of pages included and requirements for site. If there is a way to send customers to each retailers website and track what they purchase for the express reason of billing them for a commission on the items sold – that would be much simpler. If not then the following web site is needed! Home Page – This is a generic introduction to the web site. It should be extremely search engine friendly. Links off the home page will include: 1) Search for wine 2) General wine information pages (see wine news site for info) 3) Contact information and general shipping policies. 4) Wine touring pages (see wine news site for information – links will not go thru to winery site in this case.) Search for wine page – this is the starting point for a person interested in buying wine. 1) Page will have retailers inventory listed by a. State they reside in. i. A California wine store ii. A New York wine store iii. A Ohio Wine Store b. Section for rare wine dealers c. Section for winery direct 2) By clicking on the appropriate store the customer will be brought to a series of drop down menus for them to search the inventory of the retailer who is in the store they selected. The database for this search will be similar to the wine searcher database with fields to include: a. Producer/Winery (searchable) b. Wine type (searchable – Drop down menu) c. Vineyard Designation d. Vintage (searchable – Drop down menu) e. Country (searchable – Drop Down Menu) f. Region (searchable – Drop Down Menu) g. Size h. Price (searchable – min and max entry) i. Description j. Item code / barcode 3) The search will only display result for that states retailer. a. From this point on only items from this retailer can be added to the shopping cart. b. Customers cannot combine items from different states inventory list to the same order. c. The shopping cart should display only items selected from this states inventory when client is finished. i. Upon completion of the order, the order is forwarded to us as well as the retailer for fulfillment. ii. When the retailer fills the order, we need a system for the retailer to log back onto the site and confirm that the order was filled and shipped and provide a tracking number as well as type of shipper used. iii. This information less the tracking number should go directly to the customer to let them know when order was shipped. 4) Operation of the shopping cart a. Cart functions will include integrated shipping and handling cost that will tie into the UPS and FEDEX systems for automatically adding shipping charges. i. These must be customizable for each retailer since they will all have separate ship from information. b. The cart should track and collect all purchasing information for customer so they can log on and review past orders. i. This will also be used to collect information to let customers know items bought most frequently displayed by month ii. This will also be used to track what customers have purchased so we can notify them when new releases of the wine come out or when similar items are available. 1. This will be used as a selling point to attract retailers as well – we can give them stats about what wines people are buying so they know what wines to focus on buying. iii. Cart should also show items that were bought by people on past who are adding an item to their cart. (i.e. other people who purchased also purchased the following…). c. Cart should collect all information about the customer and store it in a file that can be recalled the next time the customer uses the site. d. Cart should somehow allow customer to make multiple orders of the same items to different shipping addresses. (gift deliveries) i. This would make it easier for them instead of having to input info every time. (i.e. a customer wants to send 1 bottle of Dom Perignon to 50 of his best clients.) e. All cart function should be completely secure for the collection of credit card numbers. i. Retailer would have to log onto site to retrieve the credit card number for any orders sent to him. 1. This would require a separate collection spot for orders for each retailer. 2. If there is a simpler secure way we are open to suggestions. 5) Uploading of information from retailer. a. A system of uploading each retailers inventory on a regular basis must be developed. i. Needs to be as hands fee as possible. ii. Needs to be done on a weekly basis iii. System similar to one in wine searcher concept under inventory list for each retailer. This site will be under one of the following domains with all other domains listed as gateways to the main site. Each gateway will be a series of pages optimized for premium search engine placement and set up by the programmer to have a consistent look and feel to them. The goal of the gateway pages is to drive traffic to the main site. Search engine form should be available on each of the gateway pages. If the programmer feels there is a better way to do this, we are open to suggestions. We will also expect programmer to suggest best name to use for site based on search engine criteria (i.e. does one name list better than another? List of 20 domain names: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] (other sites with [login to view URL] can be registered) An additional site would be developed with the exact same features but would list retailers by city and would use the domain name [login to view URL] as the basis. Concept would be based on finding local retailers to provide the product instead of having products shipped. Same layout with different graphics would be necessary. Second Site: Domain Name List and Brief Description Wine Searcher concept: The following sites are all based on one main search engine page. The search engine is will work like www.winesearcher.com. Retailers post their inventory for customers to search. Site requires heavy search engine programming. This site will rely on tracking for each and every click through. Ever time a person clicks thru to one of our clients whether it is thru a banner ad or a searched link or a link off the retailers detail page, I will need to be able to track that and automatically produce a report at the end of each month detailing the click-through and where it originated from. This is key in building advertisers confidence in the site Key development points: 1) Site must be clean and user friendly. 2) Database output must be accurate and easily read. 3) Every page needs to have a search form at bottom of page that will link to main search. 4) Links page similar to ([login to view URL]) a. Want a better layout as well as sorted by topics of interest. b.
