We can use this class to read string. - We use a static modifier so the compiler will accept our ReadString extension method. - MemoryMappedViewAccessor does not expose any methods for reading strings, but it does allow us to obtain a pointer to the raw memory, which string constructors accept as parameters. - When calling a read method on a view stream/accessor, the position parameter is always relative to the view, not the file itself. In a word, we need a way not to load the response body into memory and have the raw network stream so that we can pass the bytes into another stream without hitting the memory too hard. We can do it by just reading the headers of the response and then getting a handle for the network stream. Notice that we will call another overload of the GetAsync method by passing the HttpCompletionOption enumeration value as ResponseHeadersRead. This switch tells the HttpClient not to buffer the response. In other words, it will just read the headers and return the control back. This means that the HttpContent is not ready at the time when you get the control back. Let me know if you can send me a sample string so that I can test it here and give you an update. Hi, A WCF service can be used to easily handle 50MB of data upload. There is another option to use streaming when data is in GBs. I can very well do it. Ping me to discuss further. Thanks Prasoon
