Hi, I've taken a scan through your brief and I can see what you're after here. I'm imaging a small Windows app for this, with a standard folder-selection tool to pick your source and target folders, and an input field for the duration between shots to pick (e.g. where you could enter "60" to get the one shot for every 60 second interval)? I can build this in Microsoft .Net so it''ll run on a Windows machine without any additional software installs needed (if you can confirm your version of Windows I can ensure this is the case). I don't see any problem with the volume of files or size of the directory, although by it's nature the software may take a while to cycle through all the files when you run the process. I'd propose adding a progress bar to the window interface so you can see progress rather than wondering if the app has hung or not while it does it's thing. I can develop this tool in C#. Since the number of photos is too large I suggest we use multi-threading. One thread will be doing the filtering operation while another will perform the file copying. The application will treat photos as frames of a video and filtering them will be like picking samples out of this video at a regular interval. Looking forward to your reply. Regards, Khan.

Hi muzzauk. I could write this as desktop app. We could define a set of filters to apply, and then build an interface that allow you to apply them after press a "filter" button.
