Having successfully written, arranged and directed a musical for my local theatre group, I'm planning to do it again for next year. However, while I'm told that I'm a decent lyricist, I know that I have limitations as a composer (and it takes me forever to do), so I'm looking for a collaborator to make my musical really shine next year.
What I would like to do is to write a single song in partnership, up to demo quality. It should be in a Broadway musical genre and I will supply lyrics as part of the commission (although I'm open to some changes). If we get on well, then I would be looking to work together on another dozen or so songs in a wide variety of genres including pop, reggae, hard rock and counterpoint duet.
I would like to present the song to our production committee on 7th June, so I accept that it may be less polished than the final version would need to be. I will probably sing the final version to the committee using your music as a backing track. I do not need vocals supplied, although I'll need a score for the vocals as a minimum. The deliverable will be a full score (which can be in Sibelius, Notion, Noteworthy, MusicXML or another format that we agree between us) and instrumental tracks.
You should provide some samples of your existing work (web links are fine) and the range of genres in which you have composed. You will need to agree to all IPR in the work to me upon completion of the project.
