I have an existing Moodle website that includes SCORM training content. It currently sends users a text message notification via Twilio when a new user account is created. I need to expand this capability to include configurable reminders to be sent to users after a training course has been assigned to them. The use case is as follows: 1) An existing user is assigned a new training course. 2) When the license seat becomes available (which could be set to weeks or months in the future), a text message is sent to the mobile phone number of the user, which indicates that a new training course has been assigned to them. 3) Multiple reminders are then sent via text to the user until the Moodle system detects that the training course has been completed. These reminders must be configurable. For example, the administrator should be able to configure reminders to be sent 3, 5, and 7 days after the license seat became active. Notes: 1) If possible, I would like the text message that is sent to the user to include the name of the assigned training course. 2) If possible, I would like to have the due date of the course included in the text message that is sent to the user. 3) I'm open to alternative solutions that meet my basic design spec. 4) Users will be assigned a new training course every 2 weeks. I would like to be able to setup reminders once for each user and have those settings followed to all future course assignments.
