We are looking to make a native mobile app for Android and iPhone’s, which runs on Wordpress, using Mobiloud.
This is for an idea we have called “Drinker’s Edition”. The app will have 2 purposes. First to show the users which restaurants and bars nearby are having a happy hour or other drink special. Second, to provide users with with exclusive deals if they purchase a membership.
So the app will be need to be able to do the following things
Allow the user to create an account, either by connecting their Facebook, or by email, and store their deal history and preferences
Be able to process their payment
Integrate with Facebook, allowing them to share their location from inside the app.
Filter and sort bars and restaurants by distance, time and various other and/or stipulations
Have a map with the locations of the bars and the users location on it.
I’ll walk through the app in a bit more detail now. (I’ll attach a couple of screens we’ve had mocked up to give you an idea of what we’re thinking visually.)
The first screen after the splash screen will have 2 options, one, taking you to a list of the happy hours and drink specials, and another taking you to your deals.
The happy hour list would be the same information from the daily pages on [url removed, login to view] - another site we run
All users, whether they have signed up for a membership or not, we’ll be able to access this page, and the
individual bar pages that can be clicked on from there.
The more complicated section would be the “My Deals” section. We would want this to also be a list, this
time of participating restaurants and bars, which would take you to the redeem page when clicked. If a user clicks on a deal and they are not registered, or haven’t paid, they should be prompted to do so.
If they have paid, the user should be able to redeem their deal by clicking the “Redeem” button and showing the next page to their bartender.
Once a user has redeemed a deal from a particular location, they should not be able to use that deal again, and it should be removed from their “My Deals” list, and put onto a different list, which the user can access from their profile, so they can see the places they’ve been to in the past.
This is just a barebones description, but I wanted to get the ball rolling and reach out to some highly rated developers on here and see if any of them are interested, and have time to talk about it next week.
Lemmie know if y'all have any interest, and hopefully we can talk more about it soon.
Thanks for your time,
